1 Remember the simple questions to ask someone where they come from: Where are you from? / Where are you from?; Where do you come from? / Where do you come from?; Are you from Beijing? / Are you from Beijing?

2 You can also ask specifically about someone's city or place of birth, by saying: Where are you from originally? / Where are you from originally? (or Where were you born? / Where were you born?)
